De Historia Urologiae Europaeae Vol. 19

Historia Urologiae Europaeae series is addressed to all European urologists. Its aim is to make known the ideas and the work of our predecessors, and to help us understand the current trends in the development of our specialty.

Volume 19 of this series presents the life stories of pioneers in urology. Several chapters present biographies of surgeons, instrument makers, and also the charlatans that characterised the early days of the field. Additionally, regional medical histories and classical antiquity are examined for their urological content.
